The Meaning of the Center - Where Everything Begins

Every mandala starts with a single point.

This central point, often called the “bindu” in sacred geometry traditions, represents origin, the source from which all patterns emerge.

In spiritual symbolism, the center reflects:

  • Stillness

  • Awareness

  • Higher consciousness

  • The core self

From this point, shapes radiate outward in layers. The journey from center to edge mirrors personal growth, expanding while remaining rooted.

The center teaches an important lesson: clarity begins within.

In a fast-moving world, we are constantly pulled outward by responsibilities and noise. The mandala gently guides us back inward.

When I begin drawing, I always start with that single dot. It is not just the beginning of the artwork, it is the beginning of focus.
